High Voltage #Autumn #leaves (Taken with Instagram at Westboro Station)
today we biked to Mud Lake. it was so pretty! there were tonnes of birds, and they ate cookie crumbs right off my hand.
Biking
Beautiful day. Going biking.
Autumn is here!!!*
-edit-
*(p.s. i know that this year the september equinox is on the 23rd at 09:04, but i grew up being told that the solstices and equinoxes always happened around the 21st. in any case, the leaves don’t care).
i hardly upload photos as much as i would like to. so many other things occupy my time. sometimes i wish i could spend all my time taking photos and writing / playing / recording music. with frequent breaks for lovemaking, food, and sleep. unfortunately, “real” life gets in the way.
but i take the moments as i can get them, like this moment i snapped a week ago, while walking to the bus stop on my way to work. the sky looked amazing that morning (at least, i think it was the same morning; admittedly the work days sometimes blur together)… riding the bus along the river parkway between dominion and lincoln fields; the sky over the outaouais was this amazing pink hue along the water, and then transitioned into a deep cerulean further up.
eleven more days this month. eleven days to finish the mixdown for dirty walls, and shoot and edit a video for it. i’m just saying… it may not happen. i’m trying to stick to a song-a-month plan for the horizontals series, but it’s a tough and demanding schedule (mostly because i am demanding on myself, but also because of conflicting priorities of course, like my job). truthfully though, i acknowledge my privilege; if this is the worst thing i have to complain about with respect to my ability to fulfill my life doing things that make me happy - maybe it’ll sometimes take me longer than originally anticipated - well then, life is peachy. at least i’m getting it done and having fun.
we went biking to the market today and got caught in sunshowers pretty much the whole way there and back. it was at once both annoying and fun. also very pretty. autumn really gets my photo-itch going.
as we biked down down the outaouais river today, i thought of songs i want to create and record. as i got sunshowered upon, i decided to renew my interest in cover songs; particularly a downbeat/glitchy cover of sometimes by james.
also, i have a list of other covers i would like to record for fun. perhaps i will post some of them.
